Sparta, Wis., rolls out red carpet for cyclists Published: 04:00 AM Sep 30,2009
BY LORI RACKL Travel Editor stayed with us at the B&B!

Back in the ?50s, a little boy named Tom would wait in his backyard every day at 3 p.m. sharp. Trains no longer chug by his home, either. But he still waits in that same backyard for cyclists pedaling along the Elroy-Sparta trail, one of the oldest rails-to-trails bike paths in the country.
